Haley Austin
Marriage and Family Therapist Associate
Trained to value and recognize the entire “system” of a person’s life, including family, friends, and important influential relationships, Haley uses a systemic approach to couple and family therapy. This approach allows her to understand how a system impacts an individual client’s feelings, behaviors, and experiences. Haley works with the system to tackle problems that families and couples face. A dream Haley has for her clients is that each member is allowed the opportunity to safely explore their feelings in a non-judgmental environment to work through issues that have been bothersome.
Haley understands that coming to therapy with loved ones can be extremely difficult and she believes it takes a lot of bravery and patience to work together to solve problems. Change IS possible, and she hopes to make your therapeutic experience a great one!
Haley helps a range of clients facing life’s stressors and transitions, including: teenagers, adults, couples (married, engaged, or dating), LGBTQIA+ couples, young parents, empty nesting parents, single parents, expecting parents, foster parents, co-parenting relationships, blended families, mixed-race families, military families, traditional families, and non-traditional families.
Haley earned her B.S. in Psychology from Murray State University in 2022. She received her M.S. in Family Sciences with an emphasis in Couple and Family Therapy from the University of Kentucky in 2024. She currently practices as a marriage and family therapist associate. Haley incorporates a systemic approach to Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness-based on client needs.
Outside of the therapy room, she loves spending time with her friends and family. Haley enjoys cuddling with her black lab, Gizmo, and her sweet kitty, Rooster. She loves crafting and listening to music.
