We know that asking for help can be hard. Our team can work with you or your child to support you while you work towards your life goals. We can meet you where you are at your home, at the office, somewhere in the community, or online.
Targeted Case Management is offered to our clients who have Kentucky Medicaid (includes Aetna Better Health, Anthem Medicaid, Humana Medicaid, WellCare) and meet other criteria with their mental health diagnosis.
Therapy
Individual Counseling. Counseling for Children, Adolescents, Teens, Adults.
EMDR, Mindfulness, Walk & Talk Therapy,
CBT - CBT is short for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, the goal of CBT is to help the client change their thoughts, behaviors, and emotions. The idea behind CBT is that if you can change the way you think about things it will change your emotional and behavior response to that thought. Often you will work with your therapist on challenging negative thoughts and discovering a core belief that may need to be addressed. CBT helps us identify “automatic negative thoughts” which are thoughts we often incorrectly assume about ourselves or others. These thoughts often go unnoticed until they create an emotional reaction that then impacts our behavior.
Therapy for grief, depression, anxiety, panic attacks, ADHD, career, job loss, major life changes, stress, personal growth

New Client Forms
Please check your client portal to electronically sign your required intake forms PRIOR to your appointment.
If you are bringing a minor child or teen to their first appointment a parent or legal guardian must be present.
Payment
Services are provided on a fee for service basis. It is preferred that you have a card on file for client financial responsibility. This allows us to automatically run your card once your insurance pays what they are going to pay. It also prevents us from having to send out as many statements.
ALL Telehealth clients are required to have a credit card on file unless they have Kentucky Medicaid.
Check, Cash, Visa, Discover, MasterCard, Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts are accepted for payment of services at the time of service.
Insurance
We accept most insurances. Services may be covered fully or partially by your health insurance or EAP plan. You can easily check your own insurance benefits for counseling. Simply call the customer service number on your card and ask them for your “outpatient mental health benefits.” You will want to know your coverage for in-network providers and out-of-network providers. If you need assistance in determining your benefits Compass Counseling can help you.
Cancellation Policy
Compass Counseling understands that you may occasionally need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Scheduled appointment times are reserved especially for you. If an appointment is missed, or canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice, you (not your insurance company) may be charged the full fee for that missed session.
