Brittnay Lavassaur, LPCA
Brittnay is passionate in her belief that counseling is a therapeutic journey. She hopes to be a part of the therapeutic journey by creating a safe, welcoming, and non-judgmental space for individuals to explore themselves, including their needs, challenges, and strengths.
Brittnay utilizes Person-Centered skills and Motivational Interviewing to treat children, teens, and adults. She believes every individual has the capacity to become the best version of themselves. She is trained in both Play Therapy and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and treats various areas of mental health such as anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, and anger.
Brittnay, an LPCA, earned her B.S. in Human Services and a Minor in Social and Behavior Sciences from Murray State University. She continued her education at Murray State University and simultaneously completed a dual Master’s Degrees. She earned her M.Ed. in School Counseling and M. Ed. S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
When Brittnay is not working, she enjoys spending time with family and friends. Her hobbies include yoga, reading, and watching football.
